Pediatric Physical Therapy

Pediatric physical therapy focuses on the early detection of health problems and disorders in the pediatric population. Pediatric physical therapy uses a wide range of methods, techniques and approaches to treat the spoted conditions and disorders.

Children from the stage of infancy to adolescence with various congenital, skeletal, neuromuscular, developmental or acquired conditions are diagnoised by Pediatric Physical Therapy Workers.

Their treatment is focussed on balance and concentration, gross and fine motor skills, strength and endurance.Children sufering from developmental delays, cerebral palsy, spina bifida or tortiocollis benefit from pediatric physical therapy.

Through the Pediatric physical therapy children are drived to reach their maximum potential to achieve functional independence. They also work to increase children’s participation, to improve their strength and enhance their learning opportunities.

Pediatric physical therapy
workers regularly collaborate with children's families and other therapists to see as to how they can enhance the develeopment of the affected children.

Children will have to go through an interview followed by examination and evaluation process in order to get enrolled in a Physical therapy program. Some of the factors that may be included in the evaluation process are oral, motor skills, neuromotor development, muscle and joint functioning.

Providing pediatric physical therapy to your child will continue with collaboration, counselling and interventions in the natural learning environments. Of course, if this is necessary, there will be contacts of parents and their children with pediatric physical therapy in hospitals and clinics, too.
